Clark, Manila

After one and half year dissapperance, i finally back blogging....Blogging bout my trip...2009 is very memorable year tru out my life...Highest pick and the lowest pick...I miss 2009 so much. For that one and half yr, i was in Pinoy land. No im not staying there but tru and fro to the land of Phillipines.I enjoy myself there and hope to be back there again nxt yr...Boracay!!!Lets the story begin....

Clark,Manila

By Cebu pacific airways, its 3 hrs 20 mins ++ flight.Met up with a friend of mine who i get to know in Singapore, thanks to him i got free accomadation in his hometown,Pampanga. He show me how true Pinoys live. He is a singer and a gd looking chap with a nice heart.

From clark airport, you have to take a cab bout 600 pesos (s$17)to Dau. You can bargain with the counter when you step out of depature hall. With a pinoy beside you, you will get the local price. Half and hour ride, you reach Dau.There you find like an interchange, not bus interchange but jeepney interchange. There are no cab in Pampanga.Either you take jeepney or tricycle.

Jeepney is like mini bus, or even small then that. Can squeeze more than 12 passenger.Exciting but when it get crowded, trust me its irratating. The price is only 7 pesos( 21cents).You must know which jeepney to take as you may get confused. To be true pinoy, you can pass the money to the person nxt to you,and its like a chain till it reach to the driver. All you have to say is "bayard" means paying for the fare.As Phillipines used to be under the americans, the american's influence are great there. So language barrier is not a problem.Yes the driver seat are on the left....

People lead a simple life. No rush and no stress.Sing, gamble and drink are their favourite past time. There is where i was introduce to Videoke bar. There lots of them.Videoke bar are bar + karaoke. My fav videoke bar is Kayle Teatro means street of teater.Cozy and simply lovely...

CR = Care Room(Toilet)

October Feast( the whole street closed for stage performance, drink and food)
-2 days event followed by Angels day where family gather at the cementry for simply hang out.Weird but look scary to seat above dead men body.

So far i found it to be safe, but crime rate there are quite high. So be extra careful. Cheap food but to find halal food very difficult lah.But you still can find muslim staying there.I miss Pampanga~

Phuket

Its going to be 2009 in 15 days time. And i hope i can celebrate my new year in KL....but still hoping for the good news from my friends.....Keeping my fingers cross!
Phuket, Thailand
3 weeks after my sugeory, i decided to go for a holiday but couldn't decide on my destination. Battle between Sarawak and Phuket. Finally decided to head for Phuket. Oh yah asking opinon from my Mum and her answer is STAY HOME. Just worried that anything happen to me especially due to my condition. But again i'm block headed. This is my 2nd trip alone..so excited
At $170, i bought the ticket from Tiger Airways. Just for 1 1/2 i got to Phuket and this time rd i didnt do much research and take easy way out. I got my hotel concierge to fetch me... There we talked and as per normal i digged all the info that i want from the driver. After putting my stuff, took a bath and str8 out for dinner. I'm staying this small lodging call Little Buddha Guesthouse. Simple and the cheapest for a budget traveller @ s$16 per night. There are 2 rooms that offer this price caused there are no air-con but just ceiling fan. But cool enough for me.....Contented

The first night, issue started to occur. My stomach still cant accept some food....then i started to vomit like merlion. I cant even drink...it too also started to come out....hence my medicine couldnt even enter...i feel so sick till i wanted to go home the next day.... It feel so horrible.... I just pray that im ok the next day... Pray to Allah as i sleep...

2nd day
Next day, woking up fresh and thought the issue has gone away but as i walked bout 5 min to the shopping centre, i started to feel shaky and wobbly.... I felt gastric and then suddenly as i ordered my food at the KFC, i wanted to collapsed. I quickly find a spot and sat... After drinking coke, i felt a little better. BTW the chicken not really nice... Its not finger licking gd....I continued my tour ard Patong Beach- the area i stayed. After my massage (everyday i head for a massage) i went back to the hotel and rest as i felt feverish.... 2nd night i got to bed early...Thinking what i'm so wasted...sigh

3rd day
I fixed a tour to Koh Phi Phi island and Maya Bay. Suprisingly the counter girl charged me for 800bath. Not sure why....assumption maybe she thought i'm Thai ppl? A lot of them thought im i'm Thai.... Early morning a van picked me up at the lobby. After an hr ride- picking more tourist from other hotel to the pier. Upon reaching, i was suprised another fellow mate(Singaporean) was having his holiday alone in phuket. And more suprises....he took the same flight as me and would be returning the same flight too. We make friends and his name is Evan who worked in one of the banks. He bout the same age as me.....Coincident coincident....
Maya Bay Coast
Koh Phi Phi

Snorkelling Time

The boat was so packed and after 1/2 we reached the pier, finally it started to move. It took 2 hr to Maya Bay outskirt and another 1/2 to Koh Phi Phi island....I was feeling sea sick and again i felt wasted. At Maya Bay outskirt, we were told Mr Titanic man acted at that place. The narrator were funny in his blunt tone. The view was superb! Oh yah who is this Mr Titanic man....its Leornado De Carpio. His film called BEACH was shot there.... But sadly we never get down to see the beach, just from far...as a singaporean will say "well pay lesser mah so see lesser loh...."
Then we reached to Koh Phi Phi island and was treated with wonderful spread of Thai food and its free flow..Dig in n yummy! Felt better after the food and 1/2 of my headache were gone. After the meal, we took a walk ard the Koh Phi Phi Island.... Things are far cheaper than Phuket. Phuket are so expensive during High season as they marked up the price. To come to my realize they really realied on tourist as their income.
Then we are given a choice to stay in Koh Phi Phi or another boat ride to the centre of the sea for snorkelling. Of coz i chose that.... I wanna see the nature.... About 15 min we reached, then we need to register our name to get the snorkelling equipment and not forgetting 200 batt to rent the flippers. Then str8 jumped off the boat and swim. To me Pulau Payah, Langkawi is better that this. More nicer coral and nicer fish....and here what they have most is Sea Urchin and it freak me out... So i felt a bit dissapointed. But its ok its a nice experience. And pls, even you know how to swim pls get the life jacket....cause my dear friend, jumped without it and soon after i saw him with one.....and so is the rest and only God knows why...
Then after 1 hr we head back to Koh Phi Phi island str8 to another ferry and another 2 1/2 hrs back to Phuket. We splitted from there as we got into diffrent van. I took my dinner b4 back to the hotel. Soon after i realised i got sore eyes...damn wasted again as i already planned to watch a Cabaret show....i still went but my eyes felt irratated.....
The Simon Cabaret Show

Its is so nice from costume, action and choice of song. it started from the movie"The Dream Girls" to all the asian cultures like (Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, Arabs and Western. They even had Tina Turner...it really enjoyable show....but too much chinese theme in it so i felt abot like getai...After the show, the cast like more than 20 of them would line one straight row and touttering asking to take photo with them. There's a catch...."don't forget the tips" Well at least they deserve that for their hard work....BTW they are Ladyboys, drag, Bapok...called what you want they r still human and they entertain us....so be open minded and pls support this show......Yeah!
4th Day
I never spend much...Just rot at the beach doing nothing and again pls take note...those couch at the beach are not for free pls ask how much b4 get comfortable.....so relax sleeping by the beach and chill! My night i end at clubs...and looking at the most popular spots "Patong Beach Nightlife" There are tiger show, bar top dancer and normal clubs....Really eye opening for me.....last night, i neber felt ill but yet went back to sleep..... Wasted ah Zac!
DayNightDayNight
Last Day
As my hotel near to the shopping centre, i hang out at the shopping centre for coffee and movie show that i watched b4 "The Bunny House" and i saved my money for 250 batt i got back to the airport early and all i did there slacked and reading my book......Home sweet Home
Bear in mind:
So Far it is safe to walk at night
Not much halal food
Food are relatively cheap
Things are X(peak and high season) - all in 100 batt
Always take 100 batt as 4 dollar

During high season no use argue bargain as they know Peak Season more tourist will be in so they can't bother with you so much....But test your art of bargain!
Thai Ppl are friendly and nice ppl so be nice!

Lastly Sawadekap!

Thanks to my receptionist in Little Buddha as she make comfortable at home....But sadly never see her on my last day

Next i hope for a new year party in KL 2009....Keeping my finger cross

5th November is a History For me

5th November is a history for me... It is the very time i been admitted to hospital since i was born... After 4- 5 years of suffering, finally i was diagnosed with sickness called ACHALASIA.

Thanks for those who visited me....Much appreciated!

What is achalasia?
Achalasia is a rare disease of the muscle of the esophagus (swallowing tube). The term achalasia means "failure to relax" and refers to the inability of the lower esophageal sphincter (a ring of muscle between the lower esophagus and the stomach) to open and let food pass into the stomach. As a result, patients with achalasia have difficulty swallowing food. The cause of achalasia is unknown.

What are the symptoms of achalasia?
The most common symptom of achalasia is difficulty swallowing (dysphagia). Patients typically describe food sticking in the chest after it is swallowed. Dysphagia occurs with both solid and liquid food. Moreover, the dysphagia is consistent, meaning that it occurs during virtually every meal. Because of the problem swallowing food, a large proportion of patients with achalasia lose weight.

What are the complications of achalasia?
The complications of achalasia include weight loss and aspiration pneumonia. There often is inflammation of the esophagus, called esophagitis, which is caused by the irritating effect of food and fluids that collect in the esophagus for prolonged periods of time. There may be esophageal ulcerations as well.
Of potential concern is the possibility that there is an increased occurrence of cancer of the esophagus in patients with achalasia. for more view: http://www.medicinenet.com/achalasia/page3.htm

Langkawi - The end story

Today is Sunday, as planned- to stay home. Copy all my CD collection into my external HD and sell it away maybe to cash convertor. Hope to earn cash fom there rather than jus throw it away. At the same time update my facebook, hotmail and now my blog. Its been 1 week of fasting, can feel the heat of Hari Raya....can't wait....but now

The 4th day in Langkawi....
It was sunny day, thank god at least we can go to those places that we have planned.....

First is the Mountain Mat cincang then we head to Durian Perangin Waterfall. Thou its just a stop over, while my family is at the base, i ran up to see the waterfall. First stage is a smaller one....the second one is where you can really see the waterfall...but nothing really special...The water is not as cold as the one in Lombok....But around the area you can see all kind of plantation. Then we drove to Telaga Air Hangat ( Hot Water Fountain).

According to one legend, the spring is the result of a bitter quarrel. During the ensuing fracas, many items such as pots, plates and saucers were smashed, one of which was a pot of hot water, which brought forth the hot springs. Well, it seems that most of Langkawi's legends are centred around some form of violence. So, can it be that the hot temperament of the ancient people of Langkawi had even affected its geological make-up? Perhaps, this can be a basis for a plausible attempt to connect the colourful legends to the reality we see before us?

Dukong...... Sugarcane...... Banana..... Durian... Rambutan

But this is just a legend, all i care is that my whole family soaked our feet into the water. Don't worry they provided pail...so more hygein ...followed by a foot massage... Then suddenly........we received a phone call.......from Silk Air.... offering 4 of us to get the earlier flight (Malaysia Airline) for our depature day as the airline overbook of passenger....We agreed! Coz on top of flying with Malaysia Airline, we will be given S$150 per person as compensation. Wow.....for 4 person we gain s$600....just nice to cover our one hotel room....But it spoilt my plan to go ard the island alone.....and the banana boat with the kids.....

On the last day, i decided to go around Langkawi but just one place due to constraint of time. That will be Telaga 7 Waterfall. The name of this waterfall means ‘Seven Wells’, referring to a collection of seven intertwined natural pools fed by seven separate waterfalls in Mount Mat Cincang. Locals claim that fairies reside in the area but tourists are more likely to find the flora around the water more magically appealing. It is quite a challange to climb up...It is separate into two ...where you can climb down and reach to the waterfall or climb up to the 7 telaga. I really want to see the 7 telaga. I forced myself up and came across this place which i assumed to be 7 telaga. But i think its high tide so you can't really see much... Unsastify, i decided to climb a bit more....across the stream thru the jungle... came across this bridge...i saw a fallen tree blocked the way to the other side. As much want to see the peak, my guts feeling told me to returned back as 1st its time constraint- got flight to catch and 2ndly it seem strange....not sure how to say but the place look weird so i turn back....i wanna get soaked( haven't bath yet heheh)... so i head down to the waterfall.... after taking few photos i jumped in...there are few locals......When i was having fun....i tried to get to the top part but its too slippery for me...keep sliding down suddenly i felt itch.... it becoming more and more itchy.... as the local left i becoming hystrical...a lot of thing come across my mind...stay for another 5 min, i decided to leave as i'm alone....who going to sos me......and itched getting bearable...Got into the car and drove back...as the way back the itch starts to fade..... Thank god it nothing serious....according to my friend, 1) its a good thing i never climbed alone to the top as she told me that there are cases where ppl went missing (source local ppl) 2) the itched might be the cause of water flea.....

Just in time, i bath as the rest started to pack...My parents and my maid were leaving with me earlier while the rest will be shifting to one room as the rest of the room being checked one and leaving late night....
Well all i can say bout Langkawi, i can rate it to be a must go visit place. You can have relaxation (beach), activities (beach, waterfalls, shopping), history(makam mahsuri) and others(small island). very good package....must well planned so you can go all the places....We missed few activities...if my parent going back there...i will follow them.....

Best part is that i celebrated my birthday there 13/06/08
